  • Hillsborough County Commissioner Mark Sharpe endorsed Dennis very early in the race. Commissioner Sharpe is a known advocate for smarter and smaller government. Never to be outworked, Commissioner Sharpe is returned to the Commission overwhelmingly every election. Prior to his election, he served eight years as an active-duty officer in the U.S. Navy. He retired after two decades of service, which included 12 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
