Upon review, Republican candidate, Dennis Ross said, “The support this campaign received in 2009 is overwhelming and energizing. Our district is hurting, and still, citizens demonstrated their hope for a better and more prosperous future, by donating to the campaign, signing and petition, and working as a volunteer. I will never forget the hard work done last year, nor the hard work ahead as we continue our march toward victory in 2010. Together, we will return our government to its limited roots, empower American citizens to choose what is best for their families, put principle before party, and leave a country free of debt for our kids and grandkids.”

Commenting on the latest numbers and the state of the race, Campaign Manager, Fred Piccolo, said, “To raise $450,000 in an open seat, collect over 4,200 petitions, contact 41,000 voters directly, maintain a six-figure cash on hand advantage, and have over 1,000 small donors from the district invest in your campaign, in an off year, shows just how much voters want an independent conservative like Dennis Ross in Washington. Our metrics are heads and shoulders above anyone else in this race and gives our campaign strong momentum heading into an election year that is incredibly favorable to principled conservatives. While we are confident in Dennis, his message, and the disposition of voters, we will not rest nor take anything for granted through election day.”

    Put in perspective

    • Dennis Ross holds an almost 5 to 1 Cash On Hand advantage over Democrat, Lori Edwards.
    • Dennis Ross has over 1,025 in-district donations to roughly 75 by Lori Edwards, (Doug Tudor’s numbers have not yet been released) representing an almost 20 to 1 in-district donor advantage.
    • Dennis Ross has, each quarter, increased his Cash on Hand while for the last two quarters, one of our Democrat opponents, Lori Edwards, has spent more than she has raised.
