DENNIS ROSS KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR WITH STRONG GRASSROOTS SUPPORT & OVER 3,500 SIGNED PETITIONS
Ross Campaign Submits almost 80% of Petitions Required Four Months Before Qualification – More to ComeLakeland, FL – The Dennis Ross campaign will kick off the election year this week by submitting 3,565 signed qualification petitions. A little over 4,500 are required to qualify by petition and the Ross campaign is well ahead of its goal. Upon submitting petitions Dennis Ross said,
“I intend to earn my place on the ballot through the support of voters here in District 12. While we could easily buy a spot on the November ballot, I firmly believe that interacting with tens of thousands of voters, explaining who I am and what I stand for, is the way to earn support. Our campaign has worked incredibly hard in 2009 and will only work harder in 2010. I thank all of those who have put their faith in our vision of practicing conservative principles and look forward to meeting even more of my fellow citizens in 2010.”
The campaign remains ahead of its targets and well on track to qualify by petition before April. Campaign Manager, Fred Piccolo, said, “We have over 250 active volunteers, and thousands of others who regularly receive contact from the campaign, our grassroots organization is extremely strong heading into 2010. Our petition drive response, in an off year, was overwhelming, and reaching our goal by April or even before, is well within reach. This kind of grassroots support shows that voters are tired of business as usual and want an independent, conservative leader who will go to Washington to fix things, rather than march lockstep with Pelosi/Reid or even his own party”
Dennis Ross was born October 18, 1959 in Lakeland, Florida. He was the youngest of five children born to Bill and Loyola Ross who moved to their Polk County home in 1955. Dennis is married to his wife Cindy, and they have two sons, Shane and Travis. They are members of First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, Florida. Dennis has been endorsed by nearly every Republican elected official and leader in Polk and Hillsborough County.
