ROSS CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES 2nd QUARTER FUNDRAISING TOTALS
Donations Come in From Over 400 Individuals, Adding to Already Impressive 1st Quarter Totals

Lakeland, FL – The Dennis Ross for Congress campaign, today announced raising over $135,000 for the 2nd quarter. That total, on top of over $101,000 raised in the first four weeks of the campaign puts the Ross campaign well ahead in the fundraising race with over $236,000 raised in just 4 months.

This quarter alone the Ross campaign received donations from 402 individuals, with an average individual donation of $195. That, on top of the 135 individual donors from the 1st quarter, means the Ross campaign averaged over 135 new donors per month.

Upon release of the numbers, Dennis Ross said,

“I am very excited about where we are, both in terms of money raised and grassroots, local donors we have engaged. This race will be won by the folks here in the District who are tired of watching our government pile debt on the backs of our kids, tired of government taking and not performing, and tired of irresponsible behavior being bailed out while hardworking people here at home play by the rules. No one has stood for these values more than I have, and the enthusiasm for this campaign bears that out.”

Campaign Manager, Fred Piccolo, commented further on both the Ross campaign fundraising totals and Democrat, Lori Edwards’ report.

“Despite it being the easiest period for her to raise money, the Ross campaign outraised Lori Edwards by over $40,000. Dennis has also demonstrated strong grassroots support by totaling over 537 individual contributors in just 4 months, including 402 individuals this quarter alone. In addition, of that 402, 300 individual donors reside in the district. By contrast, Lori Edwards managed to garner only 35 individuals to donate from the district. Dennis Ross also garnered 103 individual donations from within the district in the 1st Quarter as well, bringing our grand total, in district donors, to 403, to Lori Edwards’ 35.

“Dennis’ report clearly demonstrates that his values reflect the values of the district. With dozens upon dozens of $10, $25, and $50 donations, Dennis’ courageous stands for the free market, consumer choice, and smarter government, have made him a welcome change from business as usual. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike are tired of debt, inefficiency, and DC values. Our fundraising totals so far this year and the overwhelming grassroots advantage they demonstrate will be maintained and strengthened as the year goes on.”
