Can We Afford This?

• Beyond the mechanical, economic, and philosophical differences with the White House on health care “reform,” the simple question we must answer first is, can we afford this?  The answer, is NO.

  Please take a look at a few of these charts and you will see that entitlements are already exploding the federal debt and putting strain on the federal budget that is unsustainable.  In addition, you can see below how federal tax revenues, as a percentage of GDP will continue to rise, meaning the government will get bigger and bigger and exercise even greater economic control unless something is done.
